Arnold Woods, Jr.
Arnold was born and raised in the Midwest and has resided in Iowa for over twenty-five years. Arnold is a veteran and has has been committed to the cause of civil rights since childhood, having served in various leadership positions within the NAACP.
Jacob Serfling
Jacob Serfling is the Director of Policy & Projects for the Midwest Building Decarbonization Coalition. Based in Des Moines, IA, Jacob brought over a decade of experience in commercial HVAC design and energy efficiency when he joined Midwest BDC in 2021, and is still a licensed PE in the State of Iowa. At Midwest BDC he helps steer the coalition's advocacy on topics ranging from Affordable Housing Energy Burden to Community Geothermal Infrastructure. In addition to his professional experience, he has previously served on the USGBC-Iowa board in various roles, helped with the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency's programming committee, and worked with the City of Des Moines Energy Benchmarking Ordinance Task Force.
